SAY SO!

June12

By Sidharth Mohandas

They overcame him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony [Revelation 12:11]

There are countless Christians around the world who are unaware of how important it is to maintain a consistent personal testimony about the blood of Jesus.

The first Scripture I want to bring to your attention with regard to this is Ephesians 1:7, “In Him [Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”.

Pay attention to the first two words: “In Him”. What does it mean to be in Him? It means to come to an end of yourself and making an unreserved commitment to Christ Jesus. Once we are in Him, the bible tells us we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins. What does it mean to redeem? To redeem means “to buy back, to pay a ransom price”. We were in the hands of Satan, but on the cross Jesus paid the ransom price of His blood to buy us back to God.

Now how does God expect us to respond? “Let the redeemed of the Lord SAY SO, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy” [Psalm 107:2]

We are to SAY that we are redeemed. God tells us how to respond; now it’s up to us to obey Him by confessing and proclaiming before heaven, hell and earth what the blood of Jesus has done for us.

Do not let reasoning enter where God’s Word comes. We are to walk in the Spirit, and respond in the Spirit. If the enemy comes to you questioning the Word of God, your response must be “God said so, I believe it and that settles it!” Never be foolish as Eve, trying to convince her self and Satan that God had really said what He had. The moment you step down from the realm of the spirit into the realm of analyzing God’s word with your five senses and your intellect, you will be overcome by the enemy and in no time you will find yourself spiritually dry and empty.
