We see from scriptures that whatever God does is through His Word. He created the world by the Word He spoke. He later adds that the Word He speaks does not come back to Him void, but will accomplish what it was sent for. Finally when we come to the newer testament, we find that the Word is actually Jesus Himself. So when we are in the ministry of the Word, we are actually beholding something greater than plain words, we are talking about Jesus Himself who is the Word of God.
In our lives too we can see that faith is paramount for our Christian walk. If we ever desire to please God or to walk in His ways or to be used of Him, we need faith [Hebrews 11:6]. So then to the question of where this faith comes from, we need not look no further than Romans 10:17. The implication then is that faith comes riding on the Word, hence for receiving the Word, faith is made available. But this Word always demands a response from you…
Have you ever asked yourself this question. HOW DO I RESPOND TO THE WORD?
We read most of the posts written on this site, much the same way you read a news paper or an article in a magazine…without a blink. Many read an article such as “The donkey in your life” and say yes, yes I know. Others read it and are so convicted, they say “that’s me!” , their hearts flutter and then they make a few decisions on where they should clean up and then shoooo, the whole idea is rejected before someone reminds them again.
R. A Torrey once said, “There is no faster way for a Christian to dry up than to have a callous attitude about the word of God”.
Therefore let me give you few keys on how to handle His Word.
- Prepare your heart. Ask yourself: why do I go to church? why am I reading this article? why am I reading my bible?
- Behold it humbly and honestly.
- Don’t take the Word of God lightly. Make sure your whole body realizes that this is the Word of the Living God.
- Don’t try to receive the word with your mind rather receive it with your HEART. YES OF COURSE YOU SHOULD THINK but let it go beyond the mind into your hearts.
- ALWAYS respond to the Word (whether at Church, whether reading from this site etc.). E.g. When you come across something that God has done, THANK Him. Thank Him for the little revelations He gives you. If something seems beyond you ask Him to work it into your life. In the last article too what Sidharth means is not for you to make 100 decisions on how to be a “Good” Christian, rather ask God to help you in these areas of your lives. Then work together with His Holy Spirit.
- To receive revelation talk to Him about it. Take every message to Him. Also search scriptures about it. This also keeps you out of errors.
- Talk to yourself about it. The above two points constitute meditation.
- The most important of them all is to remind yourself that it is all about JESUS. Everything is by him and for him. This message too is about him and for him.
Do study Mathew 13:3 –23. This passage teaches how the word can bear fruit in our lives. Our whole vision in iM is that you wouldn’t just waste time gaining information reading these articles rather that you would meet with HIM for that alone makes any sense in this darkened world.

It’s all about Jesus…I like that.
