Yes, very interesting. I've never looked at it that way, but agree completely with the bottom line>>May we raise our standards of judgment today — judging our motives, attitudes and conduct soberly by God’s Word.

Very interesting post.... I love it that God always brings encouragement before discipline. I think we need to remember this when we deal with one another. Thank you Sid.

I agree, I LOVE your new look, it's cool. I am very jealous. Oh dear, I'd better go and repent lol :) :)

Hey Brad,

Thanks, I love the new look too! =)

Reading those two verses:

The Father judges no one..... (John 5:22-23)

If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him.....the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. (John 12:47-48)

I see God's reluctance to judge.....Or if it weren't, I believe it was unnecessary for Christ to say, "I do not judge you, but My words will"

=)

Interesting article. It surly got me thinking. I have to say I am not quite convinced that proof of "God's Reluctance to Judge" is found in the the transfer of administering justice from God the Father to the God the Son and then to His words. I don't quite see the difference between judgment by the Son and judgment by his words. They seem to me to be the same to me.

Now I do agree that God's primary desire is not to bring judgment that sends people to eternal punishment. To me the proof of that is TIME and JESUS. God is holding off so that as many as possible can learn of Jesus and turn away from sin and towards God through the sacrifice of Jesus.

Continuing to think about all of this ....

peace & grace,
brad

p.s. I love your new look!

God has the final say in everything. However, unlike us, God never uses flippant remarks or praises, nor bases His judgments on that which is seen or heard in the natural. His judgments are eternal

I LOVE THAT. . .PITY NOT ALL WILL AGREE
