After closely examining the pattern Jesus followed when teaching His disciples, I came to realize that after calling them to change their perspective, He started familiarizing them to the principles of the Kingdom - in other words, how the Kingdom functions. These principles are keys to unlock heaven’s activity on earth.
Jesus said, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19 ESV)
God is interested in teaching us how to apply these keys or principles so as to see His kingdom manifest in our daily lives. Not applying these principles will in fact hinder us from experiencing kingdom realities. Many Christians in our day, however, are trying to live their Christian life by the principles that have been imparted to them by the world system. For example, the majority of Christianity today still struggles in applying the foundational principle of Kingdom priority (Matthew 6:25-34). People are so caught up in being blessed materially that many of the sermons we hear today are more about how to prosper financially, rather than on how to bring God’s kingdom on earth. They are like the world –chasing after blessings– when God has incorporated a principle where blessings will chase us.
In the upcoming articles, Daniel and I will be teaching on the principles that will enable us to experience the kingdom life whereever God has placed us.
So true. It is so much about where our focus is, what our eyes are on. What are we looking at, the temporary things in our life or our permanent relationship with God through Christ? Eternity. I like the way Paul put’s it in his letter to the Church in Philippi “straining toward what is ahead … press on” (Philippians 3:12-14) With a focus on Christ we can say like Paul “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” (Philippians 4:10-20)
… blessed by your ministry here at Imrah … press on!
peace & grace in Christ,

Such a great place to start. I need to seek the Spirit’s help in seeing these realities!
Many out there have no idea what a kingdom principles are all about, especailly the young people.
We do need to live where the blessings chase us, and not the other way around.
Blessings!
So true. I appreciate you always helping me set my mind on things above.
O Lord, help us walk by faith and not sight!
I remember one brother describing about kingdom priorities….Its just about understanding and arranging our priorities/values…We run after the world system when we loose sight/interchange the Kingdom values
