As I approach you, just as Christ Himself approached His people, I do not come to you as a mortal man whose knowledge has driven him to walk towards the supernatural. Instead, I come to you as an ambassador of my Father’s Kingdom, ready to establish His culture amongst you.
I do not teach hoping that the intelligence of my words will draw some of you to His Kingdom, for the Kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20). No, my trust rests in other quarters: I teach believing that through the power of His Gospel, the Spirit of my God might change the way we think and transform our structures into those of the New Jerusalem. Therefore, I shan’t preach as a child talking to children, but as one who lives in the Kingdom establishing a culture.
Hebrews 7:12 – For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well.
In Moses’ Covenant, our people were immersed in miracles, guided by a column of smoke during the day and by a column of fire during the night. The very heavens were ripped apart in front of them so they could see the coming of the Kingdom. Their food fell down from the floodgates of our Father’s Temple. Led by Moses, a Levite, they lived in tents and moved from place to place according to God’s will. God chose to cleanse His people from their captive mentality by purging them for 40 years through the desert. And finally one day their minds were renewed – the old generation had passed away, their sins had been forgotten and their iniquities cast into the desert. That day the Lord of Hosts started the manifestation of His Kingdom on Earth as He intended from the beginning.
Suddenly, Joshua, an Ephraimite, became leader in place of Moses, a Levite. Suddenly all the hundreds of thousands of men needed to be circumcised by their spiritual father. Suddenly the golden tower of fire which guided them during the darkness of the night was to be substituted by Levites and priests carrying an ark. Suddenly their houses were not to be made of wood and fabric, but of rock and stone, of firmly established, unshakable and firm foundations. Their food was not to be handed to them as if they were sick babies. No. They were to sow, reap, and prepare food.
During the forty years God changed the ways our fathers and forefathers, so that the spirit of Israel could grow into receiving the mentality of His Kingdom. Our Father’s Kingdom is completely different from what we are used to. Canaan was totally different from the Desert and even more different from Egypt. The Desert was great! That’s where we learned to worship Him.
Exodus 5:1 – Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the desert.’”
But the promise was not in the desert, but in Canaan!
Brethren, I urge you to receive this spiritual truth which can shake the Portals of Heaven and the very shackles of hell which hold so many of our brothers captive. Just as Joshua was used by God to change the mental structure of Israel from Mosaic Law in the Desert to a new Grace of Canaan and establish a type of Kingdom, so was our Lord Jesus Christ used to manifest the completion of the Kingdom of His Father here on Earth: BY CHANGING OUR MENTALITY.
Matthew 3:2 – “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Repentance is the Key. Repentance as Sidharth shared means “a change in mindset”. Our minds need to be changed, and from the moment we understand this and commit ourselves to Christ, He Himself will pass us through situations so that our mindset might be changed, just like Joshua was used to squeeze the people of Israel through tight doors and situations. These situations are physical and earthly. However, our change in mentality will show through in that we will deal with these situations spiritually, than in our flesh.
I will not deal with these situations in this article. I will not teach how to change one’s mindset, for Christ never taught how to repent; I will not dare do what He knew was unnecessary. One must understand that the coming of the Kingdom is based upon the repentance/change in mindset of God’s people. And one must understand that repentance comes through the Holy Spirit, If we provoke the Spirit in assuming that we by ourselves can repent and receive the Kingdom, we have not understood the foundations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is Grace. God gave us salvation and also gave us the Kingdom, but to reach them He gave us the Key to both: Repentance.
It took Israel forty years in the desert to go through a purging. Let us not make the same mistake. Let us kneel at His throne, and declare that He has full Kingship in our minds to change the human, democratic, egoistic, self-centred, puny mindset we have.
When Joshua changed the way people lived in tents, it was a symbol of things to come. Jesus later taught as that we need to change our comfort zones. When he changed the way they gathered food, it showed that He will change our maturity in reading His word. When he changed their leader from a Priest to a Warrior, it shows that we should not worry about sacrifices, but worry about conquering land to establish His Kingdom. Joshua (Yehoshua) was all about conquering the Land! Jesus (Yeshua) is all about establishing the Kingdom! Any resemblance?
Jesus Christ preached one thing: Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done. And if we follow Christ, then we should follow His teachings, and learn to establish His Kingdom on Earth. And for that to happen, one must first establish it within oneself, which starts through repentance.
There is so much to say, and so much to do! There is much to be shared and much to grow in us! But the Spirit has been ministering to our hearts that words must be sown so that He can start working in our hearts. Teachings will come, but now, the Spirit wants to work. Let the Spirit work, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
Awesome! Praise be to the Lord, for encouraging us, opening our eyes to His truth in a deeper sense each passing day. May the Lord continue working in our lives through His Word, and change our mindsets to be accustomed to the call to be prepared to live in His Kingdom. Amen. God bless you brother and all at Imrah team.
