I did a small study on this once and was shocked to learn that Jesus was not asking the disciples to pray this prayer if they felt like it,or they way we butchered this prayer in modern society. In fact, He actually was commanding them to command the kingdom to come and His will be done. It completely changed my prayer life, even though at first I felt a little uncomfortable with commanding the kingdom to come and Gods will to be done. But, that is exactly how the disciples turned the Roman empire upside down , just as you so clearly teach it here, without one sword or knife being drawn. Granted it took time but Gods kingdom did come and His will was done in that part of history. Wonder what would happen if we had that same perseverence and faith to pass on to our children until the kings of this earth bowed the knee to Christ and give Him glory for their authority and ruled like our forefathers in America did at the birth of our nation. Not to mention every person in church who did the same. I just finished reading Daniels post about fasting and am now inspired to combine both of this teaching together in my own life so that the Kingdom of Christ can be seen and displayed in me and through me for the healing people all around me. I have a dream ! Wow !
