Foundation Course Testimonies

For the past four months, Imrah has been teaching a group of believers from all over the world, through Skype. We have held seven different sessions per week, in various time zones. We have covered topics such as, ‘The Purpose of Creation’, ‘Fall of Man’, ‘The Law and Its Purpose’, ‘Redemption’, ‘Justification’, ‘Doctrine of Baptisms’, ‘The Church’, and this coming week, ‘End Things’.

Here are a few testimonies from some of the participants.

When the (Imrah) Foundation Course started, I felt a huge Tsunami of revival about to hit me…and guess what! It did!!! I got a renewed infilling of the Holy Spirit and an interest in His Word like never before… ~ Ashish Saju, New Zealand

I joined the Imrah Foundation Course after knowing about it through a friend…and initially I was quite inquisitive about it. I won’t hide the fact that I thought, ‘how could an online media be a good teaching aid or for that matter how one can worship or talk?’ But after attending the first session of the Skype meeting I was totally awed by how technology was being used for His glory. I can honestly look back and say that Imrah’s faithful ministry of the Word of God has radically clarified so many aspects of my understanding of the foundations of my faith. It has been such an eye-opener of a series for me. Subjects covered, such as, The Original Plan of Creation; that is, how God made man in His image.  These are topics that I’d overlooked before, not making a big deal out of it. But now I understand the significance of what God did when He created man in His own image and His own likeness; what it means to bear the image of God Himself.  I also understand now what really happened to man’s spirit after the fall – how man was brought down from being a spirit-led being to a soul-led being. Learning what was accomplished by the work of God’s grace has been extremely enlightening. There is so much I’ve learnt and I’m applying these truths in my life and am seeing the benefits.  Furthermore, it has transformed the way I communicate the Word of God to others around me. I no longer do it with the same old learnt and memorised mindset. I do it out of my heart.  Because now, I understand why Jesus came, why He had to die, how I can go boldly before God’s presence, and how I’ve been given the privilege to fellowship with God without sin standing in the way. It’s an ever-increasing reality in my life and I get excited when I get to share it with others around me, because I know how life-changing it has been for me. ~ Christa George, Australia

I have been soooo blessed by the Foundation Teaching Series. The sessions have challenged me to dig deeper into the Word for myself and apply what I’ve learned, too. It’s only after attending the IMRAH teaching series that I have understood the importance of memorizing scriptures. Those tips for memorizing were really good.

I loved the Creation teaching…it was so fresh and new for me. I never understood what it really meant to be made in His image and likeness.The fact that as His children we carry His image and authority was really eye-opening for me. I realised my worth..my value in Him..awesome…(I used to always put myself down).

I learned also about the Trinity (The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The Trinity have intimate fellowship with each other and I see now how we are also invited to have the same kind of relationship with Him. We have three parts, too: a spirit, a soul, and a body. And our spirit is the part of our being which is designed to relate, commune and connect with God. When God asks us to partake in His life, He is calling us into an intimate relationship with Him. I liked the diagram that Sid showed us about the spirit, soul and body and how God’s Spirit and man’s spirit related to each other before and after the fall.

When God breathed into us our souls became callibrated to the God kind of life (Sid shared the Greek word: zoe -the God kind of life)…awesome stuff for me. I have never thought or learned about all of these things.  It has been all NEW for me.

Recently in a session about the Holy Spirit, one particular thing that stayed with me is, just believe and receive!  No striving for Him…just believe…and let Him work in me and through me…

You all making the sacrifice and getting up wierd times to teach us–giving us so much! I am praying that IMRAH will continue to be an instrument for the Lord’s glory and that each one of you in IMRAH will be a bigger blessing to many more in the days to come.   ~  Jasmine Susan George, Australia

The foundation courses have helped me majorly in knowing the truth about the Lord forgiving us.  I knew it before but not in the depth that I found through these courses. There were times when I used to feel so guilty that I would make myself believe that I am not worthy to be called His child. But there was a session with Angie specifically where the Lord spoke to me directly.

Ever since that session,  I have been able to lift myself and go to the Lord and cast away the wrong voices which used to make me feel so unworthy. Experiencing these changes, I understood how much the Lord wants each one of us to grow in him and spread His word. This has led me to be active among the children in my church. It has been a major change! Now I share what I have learnt from the Foundational Course and in return God teaches me through the kids too!

On the whole I learnt “no matter how good you act God isn’t going to love you more. And no matter how bad you act, God isn’t going to love you less” His love is unique; special to each and everyone.

The Imrah Foundation Course has been creating some awesome changes in my life ever since it started. Praise God! Firstly, I learned that the Word of God is not a historic book, a book of rules, a comfort note from God nor is it a book of information, but it is the full revelation of Jesus! It’s completely about Jesus!! Wow! This truth was something I never really knew. The classes aren’t scary. =). It’s a fellowship time and its very exciting, enjoyable and even funny! There is a time of worship before each class which is very, very necessary to bring my heart in line with God’s.

I learnt the importance of “rhema” in my life. Some topics like Creation, Fellowship, Guilt, Justification, the Law, the Holy Spirit were MINDBLOWING! I was like “Wowww!!! I lived in ignorance all these years! Its more like falling in love with His Word over and over again!!!

What touched my life was the truth that I am made righteous by the blood of Jesus forever, the truth that fellowship with God means to be ‘one’ with Him, to follow the spirit and NOT the soul, the HUGE truth that my righteousness is like filthy rags before God- there’s nothing I can do to make Him love me more and nothing that I’ve done will make Him love me any lesser.  There is soo much more that God has been doing in my life through these classes.

Jesus said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” ( John 8:32).This is one place where you will receive the truth of God without dilution! That’s what He is doing through the foundation series in my life. He is setting me free everyday by His Word!

In Lithuania we have a saying, ”the appetite comes while eating”. This explains what has happened to me in the Foundations Course! Being in the Foundations Course has awakened more and more thirst and hunger to study and to meditate on God‘s Word.

The Foundations Course has also helped me to re-evaluate many truths I felt I already knew well. The lessons made me think, and ask myself,  ‘are these truths alive and being practiced in my life?’ Knowledge is good but not knowledge on its own. Real Christian growth is when things learned from God‘s Word are applied to my life, and when I am ‘bearing the fruits’ of my knowledge.

I‘m very thankful that the teachings are presented in such way that we understand the importance of applying them to our personal lives. We are encouraged to take action! And we are left with this question: ‘what are you gonna do with that which you have learned?’

I have had wonderful moments after the sessions where the truths have worked in my heart and life. Like for example, in many situations when difficult times come, I remember the first teachings of how our spirits and not our feelings (soul) or flesh should lead us. This pops into my mind, reminding me that no matter how down I feel, I should see things in the spiritual realm and not through the prism of my emotions.
