Arise Lithuania 2010

We have been wanting to write a report of the meetings we recently had in Lithuania. We didn’t even feel like writing anything because we felt it would be an injustice or a understatement to the way He moved. The purpose for writing this report is to (1) Witness to what God has done (2) Appreciate and honor those who worked with us. I also want to say that it is impossible for us to express the love we experienced from all those we met, especially the Great Shepherd Church.

May 6th: Arrival at Lithuania

The Imrah team arrived in Lithuania on May 6th (Sidharth from Sweden, Angie and Titto from England). We were welcomed by those at the Great Shepherd Church, our beloved family we have known and been involved with for the past 1-2 years. We met together at Deividas’ place, where an Indian dinner, prepared by Hadassah and the gang, was awaiting  us!

May 7th: Meeting with pastors

The next day we had breakfast with a few pastors from the Kaunas area, Deividas Burdulis (Pastor of Great Shepherd Church), Rytis Berukstis (Senior Pastor of the Kaunas Christian Church), Pastor Radiant Didla, and Gabrilius (Pastor of Word of Faith). We had a very good time with them – listening to their hearts, and then moving  into a time of worship and prayer.

By evening we met with Andrius Karkauskas, one of the coordinators in the Unity Worship Team. We got ourselves prepared for the conference.

May 8th: The conference – Pakilk 2010 (Arise 2010)

The conference started at 11 a.m., with Titto delivering a preparatory message that directed the people to “look up” and acknowledge God.

Angie and Sidharth sang a song in Lithuanian “Aleluija, Jezus Kristus Karalius”, after which Angie shared on the forgiveness of God. The Lord clearly revealed His heart to freely forgive. She ended her message with a song “Jesus paid it all”.

After a short break, we got back to the hall, and Sidharth gave a preparatory message for the evening session. He taught on the different compartments of man, and how God designed them to function.

Later, after a sumptuous lunch, Sidharth and Angie sang a song “More than wonderful” and then Sidharth continued with his message, sharing his testimony in brief, awakening people to the reality of God,  the reality of the state of death and life in the spirit. He then gave an invitation for those who wanted to respond to the call of God. About 27 came forward for salvation, and many others came forward to receive healing, freedom, and deliverance.

May 9th: Teaching at the Churches

Sidharth taught at the Kaunas Christian Church on “Our Journey into the Throne Room” using the Tabernacle of Moses as an outline, after which there was a time of ministry of laying on of hands. And then Pastor Rytis took us out for a lunch at a Traditional Lithuanian Restaurant.

Angie taught at Radiant’s church on “Unity”. The whole church was moved to respond to the message, to extend forgiveness to the people in their lives, to release hurt and be united as one. They remembered it was American Mother’s Day and got Angie a rose and chocolates. 10 year old Mathew sang the song “Amazing Grace” for her.

Titto taught at the Great Shepherd Church on “The Blood of Jesus, The Renewing of your Mind

May 10th: Free Christian Church

On our way to Vilnius we had a stop-over at Karnave and Trakai.

We travelled from Kaunas to Vilnius (the capital of Lithuania), and that evening we went directly to the Free Christian Christian Church, where Sidharth taught on “Spiritual warfare”, and presented a foundational aspect of being secure in our identity in Him. He taught how the key way in which the enemy prevents us from pursuing God was through the scheme of accusation.

We stayed at Sigita’s place and enjoyed dinner with the whole bunch.

May 11th: Meetings in Kaunas and Vilnius

Sidharth and Angie travelled back to Kaunas, where Angie taught at the Methodist Church again on “Unity”. We had quite a number of them come forward to receive prayer. The church fed us afterwards as if we were royal kings. The hospitality in Lithuania was amazing everywhere we went, we received various sentimental tokens of love!

Titto stayed one more night and taught at the Freedom Christian Center, Vilnius on the “Work of Redemption”.

May 12th: Meeting at Rehabilitation Center at Šiauliai

We arrived at Šiauliai to Nele’s house, and she fed us with some amazing Lithuanian delicacies.

From there we were taken to the Šiauliai Rehabilitation Center, where Angie taught a group of about 30 men on “Intimacy with God in Prayer”. Three men gave their lives to the Lord, and we prayed for the others for deliverance and healing.

May 13th: Meeting at Anyksciai

Sidharth and Angie left for Sweden and the UK respectively, while Titto stayed back and taught at Anyksciai on the “Power of Sin and Redemption”. He gave an altar call where about 10 came forward in response.

We’d like to thank all of our translators, each and every one of the churches that hosted us, especially the Great Shepherd Church, the Unity Team, and those who helped them plan the event.
