Love the Truth

by PJ Sorensen

I have always heard about the deceptions of the end times but until now I never knew the magnitude surrounding us. The Spirit of the L-rd is speaking loudly to the people of G-d that we MUST guard against deception. ha’satan/satan has always been a master deceiver and counterfeiter.

What precisely is deception? Webster’s Dictionary says deception is: “That which deceives or is intended to deceive; false representation; artifice; cheat; fraud.”

Who would want to cheat or give a false representation in the end times and what would be it’s purpose? ha’satan/satan would want to cheat and give a false representation because he hates G-d and since he can’t get to G-d, we are the next best thing. What is the purpose of the deception? To keep people, G-d’s favorite creation, from following G-d to life everlasting. ha’satan/satan rather take us all to eternal damnation rather than allow G-d to fulfill His dream.

Yeshua/Jesus warned in Matthew 24 that deception would come in the last days. Let’s hear what He had to say.
Yeshua/Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you (deceiving you and leading you into error). For many will come in (on the strength of) My name (appropriating the name which belongs to Me), saying, I am the Christ (the Messiah), and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:4-6) In verse 11, Yeshua/Jesus continues, “And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.”

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15)

ha’satan/satan is busy for he knows his time is very short. He’s deceiving humanity all over this planet. He’s out to deceive you and your loved ones. ha’satan/satan is so crafty that he has even convinced some people that he doesn’t exist. There are many religions which teach that ha’satan/satan does not exist at all. For example: The Wiccan religion. There are already an estimated 4,000,000 Wiccans according to the witches themselves, and their religion is growing by leaps and bounds because of Harry Potter. Teenager girls especially are drawn into Wicca because of it’s feminist nature (worshipping the goddesses). The New Age religion also denies the existence of ha’satan/satan and is even more popular than Wicca. Howbeit, just because someone says there’s no wicked one doesn’t make it so.

I’ve recently had a friend tell me about a youtube video where a man is pretending to be Moshiach/Christ in Brazil. I’ve had another friend tell me about a man claiming to be Moshiach/Christ in Arkansas. I cannot tell you the number of young adults I have run into online that have confidentially told me they believe they are the Moshiach/Christ. It’s absolutely rampant.

Now a certain female television personality out of Chicago with a following of more people daily than most ministers speak to in a lifetime, is denying that Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. But what is the TRUTH?

The Word of G-d proclaims that there is ONLY one way to get to heaven — through faith in HaShem, Yeshua HaMashiach/the Lord Jesus Christ. Yochanan/John 14:6 declares...”Yeshua/Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The TRUTH is that there is only ONE WAY into heaven, and that is through Yeshua/Jesus (Yochanan/John 10:1,9).

All end time religions share common denominators. They all teach that there are multiple ways to the light. They all deny the existence of an evil being called ha’satan/satan. They all deny the exclusive deity of Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ (that He alone is Almighty G-d - Hagilu Natan Elohim/Revelation 1:8).

The Word of G-d clearly warns that we are to have NO COMPANY with the ung-dly…“And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed”(2nd Thessalonians 3:14.) Now if G-d doesn’t want us to fellowship with a backslidden believer, then He certainly doesn’t want us to fellowship with unbelievers. 2nd Corinthians 6:14-15 teaches “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Moshiach/Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”

When the Bible says that Yeshua/Jesus was “a friend of sinners,” it simply means that He cared enough about the poor and outcast to talk with them about the things of heaven.” The religious leaders of Yeshua’s/Jesus’ day were just as sinful, but they were self-righteous. Yeshua/Jesus declared that He didn’t come to save the righteous, but to call sinners to repentance…Ur/Luke 5:32, “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Do not be deceived….you cannot hang out with people living in mud and stay clean. It just does not happen dear ones.

G-d said that He would send strong delusion to those who receive not the
LOVE OF THE TRUTH (2nd Thessalonians 2:10) The ONLY sure way to avoid believing a lie is to LOVE THE TRUTH. My friend, you don’t have to dig deep to find the truth…it is right in front of our faces. The Old Testament book of Mashali/Proverbs declares that wisdom cries out in the streets for people to listen…”Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets”(Mashali/Proverbs 1:20)

The Word of G-d must be our FINAL AUTHORITY. If we stick with the inspired, infallible, inerrant, preserved Word of G-d, we won’t go wrong.

Lies that bind…

By Sidharth Mohandas

I heard a friend relate about his struggle with smoking, and his testimony brought to light something that is a common hurdle to deliverance.

My friend was sitting in his room playing his piano… he had accepted the Lord just some months back… but he was still struggling with the smoking habit. He tried quitting a number of times but he was failing miserably. He had no idea what kept him from being delivered. As he was playing his piano… his brother came into his room and said… “Hey bozo, I heard you’re now one of those Jesus freaks!”. Putting on a religious air, he just ignored his “sinner” brother and continued playing the piano. His brother looked around and asked him, “So , you have a cigarette?”. My friend looked straight into his eyes and said, “No, I’m a Christian, I don’t smoke!”. But as soon as his brother left, my friend took out a cigarette and started smoking. The Lord started dealing with him. He said, “What you need deliverance from is not smoking, but lying.”

There are principles for deliverance, you reap what you sow. You can’t expect deliverance if you sow the seed of bondage. Scripture tells us “You shall know the truth and the truth shall deliver you” [John 8:32]. If truth sets you free, lies will bind you. Many people don’t even realize that they lie. In fact majority of Christians lie to themselves! They think, “I’ve failed so many times, I’m not going to do any good”, “Probably I’m an outcast and God doesn’t want me”, “I can’t give up drugs, I’ll die if I do”, “I’m going to fail again…”, “Probably all of this is hum bug. All of this written in here is just make-believe”, “God wants to punish me with sickness”, “God hates me enjoying life”, “God wants me to be stiff and religious for me to be accepted by Him”… and the list goes on.

Analyze what you speak to yourself, what you think… Are you speaking lies to yourself? Or you maybe like my friend, a compulsive liar, you lie about everything and anything… you’re scared if you tell others the truth, they’re going to look down upon you and you lie, lie, and lie! If this is you, let me tell you, you’re not on the ground of deliverance. The ground of deliverance is TRUTH.

Remember, “as a man thinks in his heart so is he”… It’s time to do some cleaning up and fill in with truth. Again, truth delivers, lies bind.

Don’t be so sure…

A man got a box of doughnuts and put it into his bag. When lunch came around he sat down at a table where an older man was sitting. And as he sat there eating the doughnuts the older man stuck his hand in the box and took a doughnut without asking. The man thought to himself, “what a rude guy! How dare he take doughnuts from MY box?” So he put the box a bit closer to himself and ate the doughnuts at a faster rate. The older man beside him continued to take doughnuts with a smile each time he took one and after the doughnuts were gone said, “Hope you enjoyed the dough nuts” and left him. All worked up the man stood up and got his bag thinking….”he takes from me and asks me if I enjoyed it!”…but when he opened his bag he saw that his box of doughnuts was still there…..

This story has several morals you can get from it, but the thing that stuck out to me the most was the moral that God is trying to teach me now: “Don’t be so sure that you are right.” Everything we “know” needs to be confirmed by two or three witnesses (Matthew 18:16). And we find that this is very important in the Christian walk because if you are spouting what you think is “truth” and it is actually lies you are not only allowing the devil more access into your life, because he is the father of lies (John 8:44), but you are also taking on the responsibilities of teaching lies to others.

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

James 3:1

So, we should not be like the man in this story that was so sure that the doughnuts were his, but we should back up and ask ourselves if what we know “for sure” is in line with what the Bible says, because we can’t afford believing the lies of the enemy.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. Ephesians 4:14-15
