The Word of God

As Christians, it is important for us to understand one basic principle. This principle is illustrated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
“All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”
Without this basic understanding, there is no chance of maturing as a Christian. We must understand that the word is not just a set of nice little stories, but rather a set of blueprints of how we are to live. The word of God is our standard for life.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
There is no part of the word of God that is no longer for today. Every scripture has a purpose and season for every situation. It is because of this that the word of God is used as the final authority.
James 1:22
But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
As we progress deeper into the depths of God, I ask that you do not take what is said lightly. I pray that everything that is written here from here out will have a lasting effect on you. As we uncover deeper revelations of who God is, I challenge you to ask yourself what God wants to reveal in your own life, and I ask that you take everything that is written here on out and examine against the final authority in all matters. The word of God.
